6 Months

6 month picture

Well you have all been waiting so patiently for us to update this. I can't believe that half of a year has already gone by. Abbi is changing so much every day. She is sitting up all by herself, she rolls all over the place, she drinks juice from a sippy cup, she is working on standing and pulling up, she is also trying to crawl. (Watch the videos below)

We have almost finished all our projects on the house. I will update with pictures as soon as it is all done.

Here are some pictures we have taken the past few weeks. They are in order of being taken.

Tyler Is Tearing Things Up!

Most of the time you hear from Lacey but I thought it might be nice to hear from me this time. It's the same old story with me...McDonalds, church, school, and my wonderful family (no particular order of importance). I'm officially tired of McDonalds food, especially breakfast, I rarely eat lunch since I'm usually off by 10am; and yes, I am getting tired of working there too. But I will continue to endure grease, burns, and ungodly people for another year or two as long as it provides for my family. Everything at the church is going well. In fact everyday my love for the Lord's church grows deeper and I become even more excited about the pastoral ministry that Christ has called me to. School is...well...school. It's like McDonald's, a priority because I need it but it is still low on the totem pole. I am doing semi-well, making A's and B's as far as I can tell and right now I am maintaining an A in algebra (a first in the history of my math career).

Family life is great! I don't mean in a happy-go-lucky sort of way, either, I mean that it is hard work but greatly rewarding. Every week I am convicted of another area I have to die to myself in to biblically serve my wife and daughter. This is hard because I am a very self-centered person as it turns out and really just want my days responsibility to end when I get off from the church. It's a balancing act for the most part and sometimes (aka, quite a bit) I loose my balance. That's all OK though when I come home and find my little girl excited to see me and my wife taking care of the home. Abbi gets the cutest "I love my daddy" smile when she hasn't seen me all day that melts my heart. I love Lacey more than I ever have before and I appreciate everything she does. She is a good cook but she gets frustrated when it comes to finding ideas for dinner. I think she does a great job and I appreciate how she makes herself sit down and figure out a menu at the beginning of the week. Its obvious to me that though I may be juggling many different things, she is also and I forget that way too often. So family life is great, not because everything is lollipops and peaches, but because Christ is using all three of us to sanctify each other from our sin and make us more like Him. I see this clearly in my wife (she is really growing in Christ), me (wow, I need to grow!), and though Abbi doesn't know the Lord yet we can't wait to see Him work in her life.
In other news...I've been tearing up the house! Not by accident (I have had some though, but lets not talk about that) either. I tore down a cabinet in the utility room and ripped out all of the paneling in there too. This was so that Lacey and some of her friends could mud the walls and get rid of that ugly reminder of the 60's and 70's.

We have used some of our tax money to buy some tile to redo the floor in the kitchen. This was for Lacey. The old floor is vinyl stick tile and is cracking all over the place. It looks nasty all the time and never looks clean even after she scrubs the heck out of it...soon this won't be the case. To prepare for our tile job I decided to tear out a counter that separates the kitchen from the dining room...and it wore me out trying to get it out of the kitchen (it took about two or three hours). The picture below show the progression of my work...umm, er...destruction...Abbi helped with her spoon.

Well, I hoped you enjoyed my post and my crazy pictures.
Love you guys, Tyler.
