October

Sorry I missed a month....it seems like September went by really really fast. Let me catch you up on what has been happening....

Abbi started school and has been loving it. She is in headstart but since headstart and pre-k were such small classes here (7 kids each) they had to combine them, which is wonderful because now Abbi gets to be in class with Bentley. Bentley in our youth pastor's daughter and her and Abbi are great friends. Everyday Abbi comes home telling me about the things her and Bentley and Rachel, another little girl, have done. She is always so excited to go in the mornings. In fact last Saturday she said she was ready for school and when I told her it was Saturday and that no one was there, she said "it's ok I'll wait for them." She was very sad that I wouldn't let her go. A side from school Abbi is also taking a tumbling class every Monday. She has learned how to do a back bend and it working on a hand stand. She is tumbling all over the house!

On to Titus....well he is getting bigger as suspected and I can tell that he is starting to develop some words. For awhile now he has decided that he didn't need to speak and all he needed to do was throw a fit to get what he wanted.....that's not working for him :). I have also learned that he has a little temper...wonder where he gets that :) When Abbi goes to school Titus loves having the house to himself for about the first hour and then he starts missing his sister.

Things are the church are going great. Tyler is still preaching through Mark and we are in chapter 6. On Sunday evenings we are going through a book about evangelism which has been really good. Wednesdays are prayer meeting. We are doing a Praise Kids on Wednesday afternoons, which is like a kids choir. They are working on a song to do for Veterans Day and then Christmas music too. I have been getting things organized to have a Home for the Holidays like they do at Second. It is a women's banquet and I have a dear friend coming to speak on being a Titus 2 woman. I very excited about it and hope it will be a blessing to the ladies especially the widows. It is for all women not just the ones in our church.

Last but not least this week is Abbi's 4th birthday!! I can't believe how much she has grown. God has blessed us with 4 wonderful years of raising her and I look forward to many more in the future. She has changed so much and is becoming such a beautiful little lady. Enjoy the pictures and videos(if I can get them to load)

PS. I added an email feed on the side of this site were you can put your email address in and then it will send you an email everytime I update :)

Summer in Texas

Well the summer has been pretty steady and HOT!  Things at the church are moving right along. The children's study on Wednesday nights has been a great time of God's Word, fun and food. We had VBS around the middle of July and had a great turn out of 45 kids. We gave away 3 bikes and a couple of iTunes gift cards. At the end of the 3 days we had a big fish fry and had a great turn out of all the parents and church members.

I went and registered Abbi for headstart the other day and she is so excited to be going to school. She starts Aug 27 and will go M-F 7:45 - noon. I am excited for her to be able to meet new kids and have new friends. So far all 7 of the kids in her class are girls. Mom and Dad are ok with that!

Titus is growing bigger and developing great. He now says juice cause that is all he likes to drink. He is running all over the place and learning to stand up to his big sister

We are excited to be having the Hundleys, some friends from Illinois, coming down to see us tomorrow. It will be a great time of fellowship and catching up while we have been apart.

Enjoy the couple of pictures I was able to get loaded

We had some Family Pictures taken this summer and you can view them by clicking on the link.

I apologize for taking so long to update...I have a good excuse though....I have been trying to upload some videos and I guess our connection speed here is to slow, but I am going to keep trying. I have been on here several times over the past month trying to get them to load. Maybe next month you'll get to see some videos of abbi dancing to swing music...it's funny ;)

sibling rivalry

Well it has finally happened...after all the lovey dovey Abbi has done to Titus...he is now getting into her stuff. She now says "mom I wanna play by myself" (Gasp! I never thought I would hear those words). Tyler laughs cause Titus can now aggravate his sister. That is the funniest thing that has happened recently. Here are some of the other changes....

Tyler has been working hard at the church. He has got the church a website now so check it out here fbccrowell.org. He is making the way through the Gospel of Mark on Sunday mornings and he is starting a new study on Wednesday nights called "How to Study the Bible".

I am about to start a children's study on Wednesday nights called "Big Questions and Answers" I am opening it up to pre-k - 6th grade. We are doing a test run through the summer to see how it goes and how many kids we get. I am pretty excited and anxious :) I have been trying to start a new hobby called gardening :) So far Abbi and I have planted some sunflowers and some other flowers and they are still alive...YAY!

Titus is walking and almost running now (watch the video in the previous post) He is learning the hard "NO" word. He has his 2 front teeth in now which makes 6 all together. I think he is trying to say sissy...at least he has the sssss down. His first birthday is this month! I can't believe he is already a year old!

Abbi is growing up to be a beautiful young lady. Her hair is getting so long, her vocabulary is growing, her knowledge of picking out letters and numbers is increasing! I am so proud of her. She is also an excellent big sister although sometimes she wants to be his mother! (wait till she learns about that pain ;)) She got a new tricycle that she is riding, a swing set and a little pool. She does still talk about how much she wants to go back to Illinois. Poor girl she kinda understands but doesn't really cause she tells me "When we go back to our old house...brother Brett can teach us and Danny can sing" Aw her whole world was turned upside down. She does like getting to see all those grandparents and great grandparents though and even the great great grandparents!

Enjoy some pictures and a video of Titus dancing. I will try to get more pics of Abbi next time....she doesn't like being in the pictures much anymore...she likes to take them.
